A Perth mumma on a mission!
I worked as an Accountant for 8 years in my old life before I had children. Both my husband and I were made in redundant in 2013 and our whole life perspective had changed. Out of this season, a passion for photography was birthed. I had no idea that a creative side to me existed. Shortly after my first son was born and I had purchased my first DSLR camera.
A few years after being a hobby photographer I thought I would give the business a go. I was waiting for my first ever portfolio building clients in Hyde Park. A voice in my head said, “Who do you think you are?” I felt terrified but I had a choice to make. I could have run away in fear, or chose to be brave and not live with regrets. I chose well and the rest is history.
Photography has changed me as a person. There is no much negativity and stress in the world and I find my work very therapeutic. It has helped me to see the world differently too. I have a deep passion for wanting to inspire and encourage others through my work. The world can be a beautiful place if you choose to see it through the right lens.
It has been a personal dream and goal of mine to do something where I can still be home with the boys most of the time, choose my hours and do something enjoyable and meaningful.
I am getting braver as I get older, I don’t have time to be scared anymore.
“Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who come alive.” – Howard Thurman
